Constitutional aspects and purpose
ASFA, Associazione Sammarinese Foto Amatori (San Marino Amateur Photo Association), is the national board that represents the Republic of San Marino in the specific sector in Europe and the world.
Affiliated with the International Federation of Photographic Arts (FIAP) since 1981, ASFA strives to promote photography, considered as an art in the iconographic-expressive field, a meeting point between peoples, an opportunity to learn of cultures and realities other than our own, in the view of expanding cultural horizons and personal and professional enrichment.
Thus, within its set purposes, ASFA organises national and international contests, exhibits, meetings with authors, screenings, training courses; it creates publications aimed to improve and enhance skills, to spread, introduce and appreciate photography.
It constantly works with the Secretaries of State, schools in San Marino, Sport Federations, Humanitarian and cultural associations.
